After having my most successful games in the 2010 Vancouver Paralympics, I was devastated to by sidelined from my sport for multiple surgeries on my left femur.  Finding the right physical therapist was a must, if I was going to turn a potential career ending situation into a full blown comeback. My strength and conditioning coach referred me to Colin Broadbelt at Pro-Active Physical Therapy. My initial consultation with him was geared strictly towards my post surgical recovery utilizing his expertise in Active Release Techniques and Graston Technique.  After just a couple visits with Colin, I became aware of how extensive his knowledge is beyond post-surgical care, and he became a vital component to my recovery and physical training to return to my sport.  As a result of loosing my legs in a pedestrian vs. auto accident 16 years ago and undergoing 13 reconstructrive surgeries related to my accident, I have been fortunate to work with some of the best physical therapists in the US.  Colin's expertise, professionalism and individualized, personal treatment is surpassed by none.  He is extremely dedicated to each of his patients, insuring each person receives thorough, specialized care and treatment.  Colin is a person of integrity, which he lives in both his personal and professional life.  I feel I have not only recovered from my surgery, I have achieved optimum levels of flexibility and strength, in a closely monitored and tailored program from Colin.  I am so very grateful to have been under his expert care at such a critical time in my athletic career. Colin has worked on me on multiple occasions, addressing chronic and acute symptoms resulting from an accumulation of impact injuries. His educational, as well as manual approach to treating patients, is one of his greatest assets. Colin doesn't just manipulate or treat you superficially, he goes deep into the root cause of your issue. He does his best to make sure you walk away with significant pain relief AND with the tools and education to make sure you can continue your progress, until your next visit with him. Colin doesn’t rush his clients, unlike other practitioners I've worked with. He is generous with his time and his knowledge is vast. Philippe Til Tomaszewski (Professional Fitness Trainer)
I have known Colin Broadbelt for about ten years.  He was recommended to me by a friend who was a professional basketball player, after I had my right knee replaced.  Since then he has helped me several times with various different ailments.  The latest was this year when I had my left knee replaced. I am a competitive tennis player and, since I began seeing Colin for treatment, I have won two National Senior Championships in doubles and one World Championship.  I’ve been very satisfied with his work and strongly recommend him to anyone. My wife has also been a patient of his, while he practiced physical therapy in the Los Angeles area. Besides his competence in physical therapy, he’s a Veteran and a really nice guy.Chuck Nelson (30th ITF Super - Seniors World Individual Championships 2010 Doubles Tennis Champion - 1964 Olympian - Volleyball)
Colin Broadbelt is at the very top of my list of the many respected physical therapists, with whom I’ve worked with over the past 15 years   First and foremost, he is a truly good-hearted person who’s trustworthy, genuinely cares about his patients, and takes great pride in being able to provide the best service possible.  Second, his comprehensive knowledge and skill set are superior, due to his commitment to his craft, as well as his pursuit of continuing education.  Colin has taught me many things that have allowed me to better help my clients.  Last, but not least, he has helped me, and my clients tremendously to overcome many injuries.  Colin is very giving with his physical effort, and does not take short cuts around the proper approach for the sake of time.  I’m very grateful to Colin, and I highly recommend his services to anyone in need. During the 14 years that I have known Colin Broadbelt, he has been a tremendous help to me. Over my professional career, I have competed in bodybuilding ( 2 time Mr. Israel), Thai Boxing, professional Mixed Martial Arts, and I currently earn my living as a 4th degree black belt instructor of Krav Maga . As a result of my profession, I have had numerous injuries over years , including neck, shoulder, and hip problems. Thanks to Colin’s treatments, I still am able to compete at the age of 48 (most people end their careers in their 30’s). I’ve noticed over the years , that Colin, takes many courses, often flying all over the country, to educate himself, so he can give his patients the ultimate care they deserve. There is no one who has helped me like Colin has. He is the top of the line in his profession and I always recommend him to my clients, friends, and family. Thank you Colin for everything! I can highly recommend Colin Broadbelt as a cutting edge physical therapist. I have personally worked with Mr. Broadbelt for over a year and found him to be friendly, practical, and well versed in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions. Mr. Broadbelt has a no nonsense approach that gets to the core of your issues, and a treatment plan that handles your problems in the shortest possible time. Whether you are a professional athlete or just someone dealing with the aches and pains of life, give Colin a call, you will be glad you did. David R. Before I found Colin Broadbelt (owner/operator of Pro-Active Physical Therapy), I had pretty much given up finding a solution for my chronic pain. I had been dealing with two level of herniated discs in my neck, as well as two levels in my lower back for years. The greatest thing for me is that Colin not only helped me to get out of pain, but he taught me stretching, strengthening, and postural exercises that help keep me out of pain, rather than just living with it. I wholeheartedly and enthusiastically recommend Colin, if you are in pain and need physical therapy. Danny Furukawa (Campus Pastor Shepherd of the Hills, Westside)
I had been dealing with back pain for over 10 years. I had visited numerous doctors, chiropractors, and specialist without any results. I began working with a trainer named Adam Friedman and he referred me to Colin. I was skeptical about what this guy could do that all the others couldn’t, but I agreed. To my amazement after just one session he identified many underlining issues that caused my pain. We began to work on many things and I was truly amazed on how I began to feel. I haven’t felt this good in years! I will continue to work with Colin and suggest anyone who had “Given up” to give him a try. It will change your life. Joshua Fuglsby (District Manager, GOLD’S GYM INTERNATIONAL)
I had a neck injury and had been to many therapists and none of them were able to help relieve the pain I was having. I thought I was going to have to live with the pain for the rest of my life. It wasn’t until I was introduced to Colin Broadbelt. The techniques he uses have helped me so much. I am very grateful and blessed to have him as my therapist. His office is 20 miles out of my way, but it’s well worth the drive. Wendy Rodriguez (Champion Pro Boxer)
